MAKING AUDIO REACTIVE VISUALS There are a few different ways to sync visuals to music: Manual – live controlling visuals with keyboard or midi controls.; Sequencing – pre-analyzing the music and scripting an animation as a list of timecoded events.; Midi Input – if you have access to the music’s midi data, this can be a great way to drive visuals.; Audio Reactive – code driven visuals that automatically adapt to AIRTIGHT WEBGL DEMOS LED DOT MATRIX. MOSH is a web app to apply creative ‘glitch’ filters to images and web cam input. Uses Three.js and custom GLSL shaders to stack multiple effects on to an image. WEB MIDI API INPUT TEST PAGE This page shows the simplest possible implementation of handling Web MIDI API Input. Web MIDI API is supported in all current versions of Chrome and Opera on all OSes. SYNTHCU.BE - AIRTIGHT INTERACTIVE SynthCu.be is an interactive sound toy built with CubeLab and the Web Audio API. All sounds are generated in code. The cube surface acts as a simple sequencer. The playhead rings travel around the cube and play 6 notes, one for each color. RIBBONS - AIRTIGHT INTERACTIVE RIBBONS. An experiment in ambient generative art, built to run as wallpaper. Colors and geometry are procedurally generated so each viewis different.

As part of Google Creative Lab’s CubeLab project, I was tasked to build a musical instrument using the Rubik’s Cube as an interface. Date: May 2014. 3D — AIRTIGHT INTERACTIVE WebCamMesh is a HTML5 demo that projects webcam video onto a WebGL 3D Mesh. It creates a ‘fake’ 3D depth map by mapping pixel brightness to mesh vertex Z positions. Perlin noise is used to create the ripple effect by modifying the Z positions based on a 2D noise field.
