THE EU IS CLEAR: WASTE-TO-ENERGY INCINERATION HAS NO PLACE The EU is gradually turning away from Waste-To-Energy (WTE) incineration with major European financial institutions excluding it from financial support. Having established ambitious targets such as achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and halving total residual waste by 2030 , it is clear that fast and robust changes areneeded.

Meet the team. We are a network made up of our members. In addition to those members working to create zero waste on the national level, we also have staff working from the Zero Waste Europe offices in Brussels, Belgium and Manchester, UK. These staff work to support the zero waste movement, and to drive ambitious policies at the Europeanlevel.
