This was just our third day in the city and my brain was already full of ideas, questions, and yes, lots and LOTS of new names to remember. Just the night before, I gave a public lecture in the same room, which created a lot of curiosity among local artists, environmentalists and community leaders. The topic of this talk was an intersection between public art, innovation, environmentalism SPECULATIVE DESIGN FOR CULTURAL SPACES AND RADICAL OBJECTS I’m excited for my arts practice to evolve next month as I travel to Kyiv, Ukraine, and lead workshops and community projects in partnership with IZOLYATSIA, a dynamic arts organization focused on cultural and social change.I have been inspired by the youth-driven “Made in Ukraine” movement where Kyivians have revitalized and cultivated a strong and unique identity. PUBLIC ART - ZERO1
Marble and Media is a 6-week creative laboratory utilizing new media to explore monuments and memorialization in public space. Inspired by the work of artist Cheyenne Concepcion’s fictional municipal agency, New Monuments Taskforce, the lab will investigate and contribute to contemporary public discourse around past, present, and future monuments through the use of augmented reality (AR). INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE American Arts Incubator (AAI) is an international new media and digital arts exchange program developed by ZERO1 in partnership with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.AAI was created to support the collaboration of American artists and creative communities abroad to create impactful, community-driven public art projects that address localOPEN CALLS - ZERO1

Anna recently became a full-time artist after leading a successful career as a strategic marketing consultant/CMO in Silicon Valley. Anna is dedicated to the arts and completed her second degree in fine arts at the San Francisco Art Institute. In the past, she has held senior roles at companies at the forefront of e-commerce and digital marketing, including Netscape, eBay, Paypal, BrightEdgeARTS EDUCATION
In this six-week workshop, participants learn how to use augmented reality to tell powerful stories about local issues that matter to them.
