It is wonderful to be able to take your dog away as long as he will not be left alone for long periods and if the location is safe for dogs. STOP YOUR DOG RUNNING TOWARDS OTHER DOGS The benefit of using a long line is that once you're confident that your dog will respond while you're holding the line, you can begin to allow it to trail behind him allowing a greater level of freedom.
