ABOUT YACSA
The Youth Affairs Council of South Australia (YACSA) is the peak body that represents the interests of young people, youth sector workers, organisations and networks throughout the non-government youth sector. YACSA is a member-based organisation and our policy positions are independent and not aligned with any political party or movement.COVID-19 RECOVERY
YACSA received state government funding to help ensure the COVID-19 response and recovery efforts meet the needs of young people. Over the course of the project we will be meeting with non-government workers, government and young people to identify populations of young people who have been significantly impacted by the pandemic, and in what ways, as we work to improve and strengthen MEMBERSHIP — YACSA Membership provides the opportunity for active participation in YACSA’s work through issues-specific activities and events, and membership of the board of management and its sub-committees. Membership ensures you are kept up to date with research, trends, andPUBLICATIONS
Publications. As a peak body, we are constantly gathering and publishing information about issues that affect our members. Below you will find: Submissions-responses to government inquiries, policies or proposed Bills.. Snapshots - the latest information, research and data illustrated in a useful and shareable format. Reports - research, analyses and information to inform advocacy and to GOVERNANCE — YACSA It consists of 7-9 members and meets monthly. Members of the Board of Management can be individual members, affiliate or organisation members. Elections for the Board of Management are held at the Annual General Meeting. SUMMIT — YACSA
The Summit is our largest formal member enagement procedure. Basically, all of our members come together once a year to unpack their key concerns and ideas. YACSA takes that information to guide our advocacy over the next 12 months, and creates a plan for our members. It’s the primary mechanism for our members to drive outwork. 2018 YACSA

NETFEST is SA's largest dedicated professional development and networking event for the non-government youth sector. Netfest 2020 included presentations on pill testing, bullying, and co-designed and led youth programs as well as an update from YACSA, a showcase of SA youth sector networks and an update on the SA Youth Action Plan. ORGANISATIONAL MEMBERSHIP FORM YACSA Organisational Membership 2020-2021 Form. An organisational member of YACSA is a non-government or local government organisation with a focus on youth affairs.. State and federal government departments and agencies can be organisational members but do not have voting rights as per YACSA’s Constitution and are known as AssociateMembers.
