Sheriff’s Report. May 19, 2021 Stokes News News 1. James Garrett Burchette, 26, of Sparta, was arrested on April 8 for felony with an election monitoring device in Allegany County. His bond was $5,000 and he was to be in court on April 27 in Sparta. Byron Keith Perry, 37, of Franklinton, was charged with failure to appear in Franklin County MAJOR DRUG BUST NETS 46 ARRESTS DANBURY – In a rare news conference, Stokes County Sheriff Joey Lemons announced the results of “Operation Busy Bee,” as part of the continuing effort to reduce drug crimes and overdoses in the county. Kicking off the season on the first day of spring will be a two-part gardening workshop – Terrariums and Tomatoes.
