Supreme Court Judge Smokin Wanjala has been admitted at the Apollo hospital in India after suffering Swine flu. Wanjala is said to be among other top judges who are in India for an international conference. According to sources, the judge was admitted after he tested positive of the H1N1 flu also known as swine flu. International outlets had reported that several judges had reportedly fallen ill with the H1N1 influenza virus. DW reported at least 6 judges from India's top court had tested positive of the flu. One of the Indian Judge Dhananjaya Y. Chandrachud said, as a result, a meeting will be held with the country's Chief of Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde to discuss measures including possible vaccinations of those working in the Supreme Court. The symptoms of H1N1 include fever and chills, similar to those of thenew coronavirus.
