ARCHIBALD AND LUCHUK RETURN AS SENATORS SWING TWO DEALS WITH TORONTO Belleville, ON, Canada / Quinte NewsDavid Foot
February 20, 2020 12:25 am Forwards Darren Archibald (left) and Aaron Luchuk (right) were acquired by the Senators in a pair of trades with Toronto, on February 19, 2020. Both played with Belleville during the 2018/19 season. (Photos: Jason Scourse / Belleville Senators) The NHL trade deadline is Monday and the Ottawa Senators made a pair of deals with Toronto that will affect the Belleville Senators. First, Ottawa traded forward Max Veronneau to the Maple Leafs, in exchange for forward Aaron Luchuk and a conditional sixth round draftpick in 2021.
The condition being that Ottawa will get the draft pick if Veronneau plays 10 NHL games with Toronto this season, or next season, should here-sign there.
Luchuk, a 22 year-old native of Kingston, has been assigned to Belleville where he played 27 games last season. This year he has registered 50 points in 45 games with the ECHL Newfoundland Growlers and was held pointless in three AHL games with the Toronto Marlies. Veronneau heads to Toronto after notching 10 points in 33 games with Belleville in his first full pro season, which has also been hamperedby injuries.

Archibald also played in Belleville last season, after he was picked up in a trade with Vancouver and dressed in 28 games for the B-Sens, registering 17 points. This season he has 12 points in 34 games with the Marlies. Bourque has spent the majority of the season with ECHL Brampton, after playing five games in Belleville, notching just one assist.
