HIGHLIGHTS
* 2 intruders rushed to the field of play during the 2nd over of theNew Zealand innings
* Both intruders were taken off by security - the incident occurredin Wellington
* Last year in Hamilton, a fan had rushed in to touch MS Dhoni's feet Two intruders ran on to the field during India's 4th T20 International against New Zealand in Wellington on Friday. Security rushed in to take the intruders off who had managed to enter the playing area in successive deliveries. After Manish Pandey's unbeaten 50 had helped India post 165 for 8 off their 20 overs, New Zealand started their chase watchfully against Shardul Thakur and Navdeep Saini. It was during Saini's over - the second of the New Zealand innings - that an intruder breached security to enter the field after the third delivery. After security took him away, another intruder got in following the fourth delivery. This is not the first time an intruder managed to enter the ground during an international cricket match in New Zealand. NEW ZEALAND VS INDIA 4TH T20I: LIVE BLOG In 2019, a FAN RUSHED ON TO THE FIELD to touch MS Dhoni's feet during the 3rd and final T20 International inHamilton.
During that incident in February 2019, MS Dhoni warmed hearts when he ensured the Indian flag the man was carrying did not touch the ground. Intrusion by fans on the field is of course not restricted to NewZealand.
In March during a T20I against Australia in Nagpur, A FAN HAD RUN TOTHE GROUND
and chased MS Dhoni aroud the field before security took the intruderaway.
