SILVER - WQA
Silver is used as a water bacteriostat in carbon containing water filters. The silver is deposited onto the carbon granules to potentially inhibit the growth of bacteria on the surfaces of these carbon particles. Such filters tend to leach out trace levels of silver into the effluent water. At these concentrations, the ingestion of silver has no detrimental effect on humans.SELENIUM - WQA

Silver is used as a water bacteriostat in carbon containing water filters. The silver is deposited onto the carbon granules to potentially inhibit the growth of bacteria on the surfaces of these carbon particles. Such filters tend to leach out trace levels of silver into the effluent water. At these concentrations, the ingestion of silver has no detrimental effect on humans.ALUMINUM - WQA
Aluminum is an extremely abundant metal in the earth’s crust. It is a health risk associated with dialysis patients. Aluminum can leach from rock and soil to enter any water source. It can be found as aluminum hydroxide, which is a residual from the municipal feeding of aluminum sulfate. It can also be present as sodium aluminate from a process known as clarification or precipitation softening.SELENIUM - WQA
Selenium is a metal found in natural deposits as ores containing other elements. At typical groundwater pH values (7.0 to 9.5) only anionic forms of selenious (Se IV) or selenic (Se VI) acid are found. *Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) — The highest level of a contaminant that is allowed in drinking water.
