Junior Blasters (Kanga) Specifically designed for boys and girls between the ages of 5 – 7 years, Junior Blasters is a modified game that introduces young people to cricket.THE GLADE OVAL
David Carey had a long apprenticeship before playing A1 Grade. After making his debut in 1979/80 David played his first game in A 1 Grade in 1999/2000 with 600 wickets to his credit. David took 4/53 against the top team. David is our most successful bowler having taken 623 wickets at 18.78 bowling slow medium pace cutters. NEWS - MAY 2021 - WPHCCC Seniors Presentation Night. A great night celebrating an amazing season was held at Castle Hill RSL on Friday 7 th May 2021. We had just on 150 people attending in the main auditorium. ANECDOTES - 31 JANUARY 2021 - WPHCCC Anecdotes – 31 January 2021. There is a quiet ‘competition’ that has been running since 1990/91. Two of our all-time Club Greats are in a race, that neither probably even knew about, to reach 6,000 runs first – the 4 th & 5 th highest run scorers in our 90 year history. Get a load of how close Eric Junkkari (B1 Blue) & James Makin (A1 WEST PENNANT HILLS CHERRYBROOK CRICKET CLUB West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook Cricket Club. A cricket club in the Hornsby Ku-rin-gai & Hills District Cricket Association, in the northern Sydney, New South Wales area. Competition cricket for senior men, as well as junior boys and girls. Also a large kanga cricket organisation for under-9 boys and girls. GALSTON RECREATION PARK (HAYES OVAL) Galston Park – now Hayes Oval (1955/56) An earlier ground was in use throughout the 1890s. The current ground also had a trotting track. In 1951/52 members of the Association and Hills District cleared all trees from the land. It was first used in competition in 1955/56. The ground was greatly enlarged in the early 1980’s.THORNLEIGH OVAL
Matt finished the match with 133 runs. Matt also ended up playing A1 between 1994/95 to 1999/2000 and scored 4,406 runs @ 39.69. 25/11/2000 Mark Taylor (B1) scored his 4,000th run Vs ARL. 25/11/2000 Jim Fuggle (B1) Vs St Ives scored his 4,000th run for the Club. Jim is one of our greatest administrators. 18/10/2003 Mark Taylor (B1) scored his 5 ANECDOTES - 2020/21 NEW SEASON - WPHCCC Anecdotes – 2020/21 new season. Just take a moment to reflect on what we have been through this year: Our new season has now been delayed by 7 weeks to October 24. The last time we experienced anything like 2020 was way back in 1942 to 1946 when the War prevented any cricket being played. It can only get getter.right. ANECDOTES - 15 MARCH 2020 - WPHCCC Look mum – no hands Matt Joliffe (B2) grassed a catch early with a firmly hit cover drive bouncing out of his hands. Clearly not feeling too good about the dropped catch decided to adjust his technique. The next 3 catches Matt decided to attack the ball AFL chest mark style managing to take each catch but with a resounding thud echoing around the ground as the cricket ball thudded into hisBROOKLYN DAIRY

NEWS - MAY 2021 - WPHCCC Seniors Presentation Night. A great night celebrating an amazing season was held at Castle Hill RSL on Friday 7 th May 2021. We had just on 150 people attending in the main auditorium. Congratulations to our major Award winners: President’s Award – Mike Kinchington. Player of the Year – Tom Hando (B2)THE GLADE OVAL
David Carey had a long apprenticeship before playing A1 Grade. After making his debut in 1979/80 David played his first game in A 1 Grade in 1999/2000 with 600 wickets to his credit. David took 4/53 against the top team. David is our most successful bowler having taken 623 wickets at 18.78 bowling slow medium pace cutters.
