This dish is perfect for Lent or anytime you are looking to make a simple delicious meal involving tuna. There are so many times on this blog that I talk about simple recipes with simple ingredients. This recipe is one of those simple easy to make recipes. ITALIAN PARMESAN OYSTER CRACKERS Place the oyster crackers in a large bowl. Mix together the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic salt. Pour in the olive oil and mix well. Pour the Parmesan cheese mixture over the crackers and mix well. Every 15 minutes mix the crackers until the olive oil is absorbed, about 1 to 2 hours. Store in an airtight container. SIMPLE BROILED CHICKEN TENDERS Instructions. Place the canola oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, garlic, onion, oregano, and parsley into a zip lock bag and combine. Place the chicken in the bag and coat the chicken with the marinade. Place in the refrigerator for several hours or more. Turning the bag a few times during that time.TURTLE DUMP CAKE
For the microwave melt on high for about 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Add the cake mix and the instant pudding to a medium-size mixing bowl. Add the evaporated milk and mix for 2 minutes with a hand mixer or a wooden spoon. Spread the cake batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle a cup of chocolate chips over the batter, then the 1/2 cup ROASTED POTATOES AND BELL PEPPERS Cut the potatoes into bite-size pieces. Place the potatoes into a colander and rinse with cold water. Pat dry with paper towels. Cut the peppers and onion into bite-size pieces as well. Place the potatoes, peppers, and onions in a large bowl and drizzle with the olive oil. Toss until the vegetables are coated with the olive oil.BAKED PORK TAQUITOS
Instructions. In a skillet combined the ground pork, garlic, onions, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook until the pork is no longer pink. Remove the pork mixture from the heat and stir in the green chilis and cheddar cheese. On each tortilla shell spoon about 4 tablespoons on the lower part of the shell. CHICKEN VEGETABLE RICE CASSEROLE Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Add the rice to the bottom of the baking dish. Cut the chicken breast into bite size pieces. Melt butter in a skillet and add the onion. Cook the onion until tender 2 or 3 minutes. CRISPY MASHED POTATO BALLS Instructions. In a medium bowl add the mashed potatoes, sour cream, green onion, cheddar cheese, and celery salt. Mix until everything is combined. (I mix it by hand for the best results). Form the potato mixture into 1 1/2 to 2 inch balls. Once the balls are made place 1/4 cup of flour in a bowl. Dredge the balls in the flour. CHICKEN JALAPENO POPPER DIP Instructions. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer. Add in the sour cream and mayonnaise and mix in. Beat in the garlic and onion powder. Add the chicken, cheddar cheese, and jalapenos and fold in. Spread in a 10-inch baking dish or a 9 by13-inch baking pan.
CHICKEN WHITE BEAN SOUP To a large Dutch oven add the olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, carrots, and garlic. Cook the vegetables for 10 to 12 minutes or until they start to get tender. Once the vegetables are tender add the beans, cooked chicken, chicken broth, and bay leaf. Turn the heat up to medium-high and bring the soup to a boil. CARAMELIZED ONIONS AND GARLIC CHICKEN Directions: 1. Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium to medium-low heat. Add the onions and garlic, cook stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes or until soft. Stir in the sugar, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce and cook for another 6 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside for a bit. ROASTED POTATOES AND BELL PEPPERS Cut the potatoes into bite-size pieces. Place the potatoes into a colander and rinse with cold water. Pat dry with paper towels. Cut the peppers and onion into bite-size pieces as well. Place the potatoes, peppers, and onions in a large bowl and drizzle with the olive oil. Toss until the vegetables are coated with the olive oil. BUTTERMILK HAMBURGER BUNS 1 1/2 cups buttermilk, at room temperature. For egg wash for brushing the tops of buns: 1 egg, whisked with 1 teaspoon of water until frothy. Directions: Mix together the 2 cups flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Pour in the egg, butter, and milk, and mix with a spoon until well blended. Gradually knead in the rest of the flour. APPLE OATMEAL COFFEE CAKE Set aside. Combine the eggs, 1/4 cup melted butter, and sour cream. Add the dry ingredients and mix with a spoon just until the mixture is well combined. Spread the mixture into the prepared springform pan. Top the batter with the chopped apples. For the streusel combine the brown sugar, flour, oats, and cinnamon. CRISPY MASHED POTATO BALLS Instructions. In a medium bowl add the mashed potatoes, sour cream, green onion, cheddar cheese, and celery salt. Mix until everything is combined. (I mix it by hand for the best results). CHICKEN FLAVORED EGG NOODLES WITH BUTTER AND GARLIC 3 to 6 bouillon (I used 3, but for more of a chicken flavor you can use 1 cube for each cup of water) 1 large garlic clove minced. 1 1/2 tablespoons butter. 1 tablespoon olive oil. Directions: 1. Add water and bouillon to a large kettle and bring to a boil. Once the water is boiling add the egg noodles. Cook until al dente, about 5 to 7minutes.
CREME DE MENTHE (GRASSHOPPER) PUDDING DESSERT Instructions. Combine the pudding, milk, and creme de menthe and blend with an electric mixer just until it begins to thicken a little. (note 1) With clean beaters beat the whipping cream until stiff peaks. Add the pudding mixture to the whipped cream and fold in the pudding. Filldessert dishes.
EASY TUNA MACARONI SALAD Instructions. Cook the macaroni according to the directions on the box. Once the macaroni is cooked run under cold water and drain. While the pasta is cooking drain the tuna and chop the dill and the vegetables. Combine the all of the ingredients and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste. SPAGHETTI STUFFED ITALIAN BREAD Instructions. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Take a loaf of Italian bread, cut around the edge of the bread, making sure you don't cut through the bottom of the loaf. Remove the inside of the bread making sure you leave some of the bread in the shell. Once the Italian sausage and the spaghetti are cooked, mixed together well. BAKED LEFTOVER MASHED POTATOES WITH EGGS Instructions. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 2 ramekins or custard cups with a non-stick cooking spray. In a small bowl mix together the mashed potatoes, sour cream, ham, cheddar cheese, and chives. Divide the potato mixture between the 2 ramekins, mold it tothe ramekins.
