WMEAC relies on caring volunteers like you to carry out our mission of leading environmental protection. We are all part of West Michigan’s environment, so we must work together to protect and positively influence our natural surroundings. WMEAC volunteers average 10,000 hours every year for various programs, professional, and maintenanceneeds!
TEACH FOR OUR ENERGY FUTURE Teach for our Energy Future is an emerging program being developed through a partnership between WMEAC, Hope College and the Holland BPW. As a pilot project we are working to establish a high-impact middle school curriculum that connects place-based education, learning by inquiry, and research with Holland’s Community Energy Plan goals for energy usage behavior change in the community.STAFF – WMEAC
Sara is a lifelong resident of West Michigan. She has a BA in English Language and Literature from Grand Valley State University with a German minor and served for a year with AmeriCorps before returning to GVSU, earning her secondaryIDEAL COMMITTEE

Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a large group of man-made chemicals that have been used in industry and consumer products worldwide since the 1950s.
