NOUAR | WIDEWALLS
Nouar, also know as Noir Nouar is a Los Angeles artist who makes paintings and sculptures inspired by food. Her theme is savory and sweet food, colorful and full of sugar. Her work looks edible and one would be tempted to taste that sweetness. However, what Nouar makes maybe looks sweet, but the subject of her work is a little bitter. ALIAS TRATE IS THE DIONYSIAN KID IN A NEW DRONE-LED A self-taught Canadian artist based in London, Alias Trate is known for capturing human sensibilities in subconsciously sourced forms. His works chronicle the human condition through his distinct aesthetic characterized by arresting color palettes, intricate geometric brush patterns, and bold gender-fluid figures.. The artist's latest body of work is currently on view in an innovative onlineTHE MODERN LETTER
Jan Tschichold was a German typographer, designer, teacher, and writer. He had a background in calligraphy and strongly advocated for the sans-serif typefaces, and standardized paper sizes. In his book Die Neue Typographie, he proposed the rules for standardization of type practices. However, the most notable thing he’s done is the design for the Penguin Books covers. A SHORT HISTORY OF COLOR PHOTOGRAPHY The 20th Century and the Kodak Revolution. The first commercially successful color photography process appeared on the market in 1907, when the French Lumière brothers, by then famous in the world of cinema, introduced the Lumière Autochrome. Their method involved special plates which, however, cost about as much as a dozenblack-and-white
DAMIEN HIRST AND ALEXANDER MCQUEEN COLLABORATION Damien Hirst x Alexander McQueen Scarf. The collaboration seamlessly plays on the shared aesthetic vision of Hirst and McQueen, in which an interest in symmetrical design is combined with strong references to the natural world. Damien Hirst x Alexander McQueen Scarf. The scarves are available in Chiffon, Pongé, Twill and Cashmere. KING ROBBO | WIDEWALLS King Robbo is an English underground graffiti artist who became more widely known following a graffiti war. There had been a previous meeting between Robbo and another street artist in the nineties during which Robbo claimed he slapped the artist, a claim the artist denied. THE MAGICAL WORLDS OF ELENA ZELENINA She says: Oneness is what I paint and how I see the world, heal, and celebrate. It's vast and all-inclusive, and once I grasped it, I couldn't look at anything any other way. I feel everything is incredibly connected despite the illusion of separation. NEW PORTRAITS BY RICHARD PRINCE Richard Prince’s Instagrams. Opened September 19 at Gagosian Gallery in New York, Prince’s latest work probably resembles the most revealing body of work after his “Publicities” series in 2000 that featured collected autographed celebrity images according to similar looks and poses. The reaction on the current exhibition is as THE HISTORY AND MEANING OF THE COLOR GREEN IN A NUTSHELL The Symbolic Meaning of the Color Green. Since the beginning of time, artists, shamans and leaders used the earth pigments to produce various shades. As early as 40,000 years ago, the first pigments, a combination of soil, animal fat, burnt charcoal and chalk created a basic palette of four colors - red, yellow, black, and white.
