West Exe students are celebrating a record breaking set of results, after an incredibly rigorous series of GCSE exams. Almost a quarter of all entries achieved a top 9 – 7 (A*- A) grade. Early indications are that the headline progress 8 measure has again increased, having already been Above Average in 2018. Tim Rutherford “We are not only extremely proud of our students for these best ever results, but also for what this fantastic group of young people contributed to our community during their time at West Exe. Over 250 student leaders have laid the foundations for even greater opportunities and success for future generations of West Exestudents.
We are proud of their achievements and are excited to see how they use their excellent qualifications and the wider skills they have developed whilst at West Exe. Many have signed up to be part of our inspirational alumni and we look forward to sharing their futuresuccesses.”
Please be aware that we have already acquired a large number of lost property items since the start of term. These items have no names in them so cannot easily be returned to students. If your son / daughter has lost anything since returning to school on the 4 September please ask them to come to student reception to check. Alternatively you may also like to come in and check for your child’s lost items, Student Reception is open between 8.15am – 3.30pm daily. Please sign in at Main Reception first. To assist with the process of reuniting lost property with the correct student, please clearly mark on each item of school clothing the nameof your child.
Unfortunately we do not have room to store large amounts of lost property and therefore any items not claimed by the end of term (20 December) will be disposed of.
