COMPOSITE DECKING FRONT STEPS PERFECT HAND-LETTERING ON WOOD SIGNS Perfect hand-lettering on wood signs can be achieved by simply employing a projector to display the text on your sign as you trace. DIY LAMP SHADE & BASE Here’s the quick breakdown of costs: $20 Large lamps from Craigslist. $2.00 Two yards of clearance fabric. $3.79 Teal blue spray paint. $3.27 Spray primer. $6.00 Two 14″ wooden embroidery hoops. $0.66 Two poster boards. Items I already had: Painters tape. DIY STAIR RAILING SAFETY REDO Building code used to require a 6 inch space between spindles, but has since been reduced to a 4 inch requirement. This DIY stair railing safety redo will show you exactly how to remedy this problem. The first step in the process is to remove the spindles and top rail from the newel posts. This railing was secured with screws drilled at 45 MOD PODGE PHOTO TRANSFER Welcome to a very easy to follow picture tutorial on how to create a wood block picture using the mod podge transfer method. Here’s what you need: wood. mod podge. a paint brush. a credit card. black paint. a photograph printed on normal paper with an inkjet printer. RESTORE AN OLD BARN WINDOW All done after 2 coats of paint and 3 coats of polycrylic. The very last step was to clean the very hazy glass window panes. I’m sure it was years and years since these old barn windows were last cleaned so the dirt, poop, and dust clinging to them was disgusting. First, I came at them with rubbing alcohol to clean off any old paint. SPRAY PAINT IN WINTER Spray Paint in Winter. Being a DIY enthusiast is challenging when you live in Minnesota. Most every paint, stain, and sealer says you must use them in a well ventilated area (a.k.a. not inside) when temperatures are above 50 degrees. Well, for us in the great northern state, that is only possible about six months of the year. WHAT IT IS LIKE BEING A YOUNG MOM It’s Easier To Get Your Body In Shape After Pregnancy. I will admit, this is a great benefit of being a young mom. Your metabolism is likely higher than moms that are older than you so your post-partum body can bounce back faster. This is the space amidst renovation. The doorway you see here leads to the utility room. Clearly we wanted this enclosed since there was a different utility room entrance my sister could use.
