HOW TO MAKE A CHICKEN APRON OR HEN SADDLE Place one fabric piece wrong side down (right side up) on a flat surface. Loop the elastic from one “armhole” to the other and pin the ends in place. TIPS FOR SEWING RAYON, VISCOSE AND TENCEL FABRICS This is the Elodie Wrap Dress by ClosetCore Patterns. Wanting to sew a garment with some lovely fabric with drape? Viscose, Rayon Challis, and Tencel are all fabrics that feel like a lovely second skin on your body and many sewists use them to make dresses, shirts, and skirts. SASHIKO STITCHING BY MACHINE Sashiko Stitching by Machine. Sashiko is a popular hand-embroidery technique that originated in Japan. Most commonly, it involves white stitching on an indigo fabric in geometric patterns. Often, sashiko is done as all-over patterns that cover a whole area of fabric. The long, separated stitches of sashiko give it a unique look that normally HOW TO HEM JEANS: EASY STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE Measure and pin the length of the finished jeans legs. TIP: Measure each leg separately as your legs may vary slightly in length (mine do by about 1/4 inch). Trim the hem allowance to 1 1/8 inch and double turn. Stitch down the hem.
