RESOURCES | WAKE UP NARCOLEPSY Narcolepsy affects 1 in 2,000 people – over 200,000 Americans and 3 million people worldwide. In other parts of the world such as Japan, Narcolepsy appears as frequently as 1 in every 500. Narcolepsy is not rare, but it is severely under-recognized, under-reported and often misdiagnosed disorder that occurs equally in men and women. COMMUNITY | WAKE UP NARCOLEPSY The Living with Narcolepsy group is an open drop-in for adults affected by narcolepsy. The group offers weekly support based on participants needs as they arise while navigating life with narcolepsy. Led by people directly affected by the condition, this is an ideal group to bring your current concerns and challenges.#WHENIWAKEUP
When WE, in the narcolepsy community, wake up, we experience many emotions, contradictory thoughts, symptoms, to do lists and MORE. All encompass the reality of living with an incurable sleep disorder. We invited PWNs, CWNs, caregivers, and family members to share their #WhenIWakeUp realities.
