OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH RUBEN The VMSL would like to pay its respects to VMSL vice president (and past president) Ruben Tremarco who lost his wife Graciela Liliana Tremarco on Canada Day. The vivacious Liliana succumbed to cancer after being diagnosed only weeks earlier. As well as Ruben, she leaves behind two grown boys and two beautiful young granddaughters. The VMSL "family" is here to help Ruben along just as he has stewarded the VMSL for more than 25 years and counting. Mass will be held Wednesday, July 10th at All Saints Parish located at 821 Fairfax Street, Coquitlam, BC V3J 5K7 beginning at 6 pm._Posted 5/27/2019_

2019 PROVINCIAL CUP CHAMPION LOST IN CAR CRASH The VMSL has lost one of its bright young stars. VMSL members have the family, friends and teammates of Brandon Bassi in their thoughts. Brandon Bassi passed away May 23, 2019 after battling injuries sustained in a car accident May 18th. Brandon was a key member of the CCB LFC United team that just won the Senior Men's Provincial A Cup Championship on May 12th. He was due to represent the club, the VMSL and BC Soccer at the National Club Championships in October. At 19 years old he was already a role model for many in the lower mainland, someone that made all the right choices in his life and had a very bright future on and off the field. He was a full time SFU Soccer team member on scholarship, he worked part time and played full time men's soccer. His candlelight vigil was attended by over 1100people.
