Food preservation containers. While food can be stored in any stationary container, storage vessels are best for storing grains and vegetables. CHEESE - VINTAGE STORY WIKI To make cheese, the player needs a barrel of at least 25 cottage cheese, and one piece of linen - all stitch types can be used. Shift + Right click the barrel with linen in hand to receive a curd bundle. Place the bundle on the ground with a right click, then right click the bundle with a stick in hand. This will place the stick as ahandle.
BEEKEEPING - VINTAGE STORY WIKI Finding wild bees can be difficult. Wild bees are a rare spawn in warm climates, but they don't spawn in climates that are too arid or too wet. The best way to find them is to turn the game sound all the way up and wander around in forested areas. Bees are often heard before they are seen. Keep listening for bees, and checking the trees in the CHARCOAL - VINTAGE STORY WIKI Charcoal is the first type of fuel capable of generating temperatures high enough (1300°C) to smelt metal ores such as Copper (1084°C). Blister steel is the first step of creating steel from iron, and functions the same way an iron bloom does.ORE DEPOSITS
Finding ore can be quite challenging. A picture of a typical ore distribution is shown (right). Ores are distributed at random heights, in discs at various angles. Some ores have wider discs than others. Most discs average 5.5 blocks wide, though quartz discs are larger. The overall shape of the ore disc reflects the surface above and will always cover the same horizontal area. ARMOR - VINTAGE STORY WIKI Armor is used to protect the player from damage. There are many different kinds of armor that can be made of many different materials, from wood, all the way to iron plates. While each material provides increased protection and resistance, each kind of armor gives small, or not so small, debuffs to things like movement speed or hunger rate. CLOTHES - VINTAGE STORY WIKI Clothes are decorative items that can be worn in several of the player's clothing slots. Clothes provide protection from cold depending on their condition. Clothes can be repaired by left-clicking a worn clothing item in the character screen with a flax twine for 10 % or linen for 50 %. Clothing slowly degrades over time, needing to be repaired about once per year.PRIMITIVE SURVIVAL
A couple of items that are essential for this mod are stakes (used for primitive fences, weir traps and snares) and cordage (used to make limb lines, trotlines, fish baskets, snares, and monkey bridges). They spawn in average groups around 2 individuals. Areas in which wolves can spawn depend on a forestation map, which is similar to the climate map not depending on the actual map itself, and will not change after world generation. PROGRESS THROUGH THE AGES IN AN AUTHENTIC WORLD Start out empty-handed and learn to survive by foraging, hunting, crafting, and fighting. Enter the stone age by knapping primitive stone tools and sculpting clay for essential pottery. Advance further by smelting copper for more powerful tools, creating bronze alloys, learning to work iron, and ultimately mechanizing common tasks. IMMENSELY LARGE, IMMENSELY DIVERSE PROCEDURAL WORLDS Enter a vast open world populated by a range of cute, strange, dangerous, and outright horrifying creatures. Vintage Story utilizes a great deal of procedural technology to create immensely diverse landscapes, climate conditions, and geological features to always keep exploration fresh and exciting. A WICKED UNIVERSE BACKED BY ORIGINAL STORY ELEMENTS Take on the role of a lost being in the body of a tall blue creature and discover the remnants of civilization. There is no linear storytelling; it is up to you to piece together who you are and what has happened from the little evidence that remains. During your journey you will encounter wayward creatures, find old stories, battle temporal instability, and endure temporal storms. IMMERSIVE CRAFTING MECHANICS Vintage Story aims to turn all crafting processes into an immersive, in-world experience. You create stone tools by breaking off individual stone pieces, form pottery by placing small bits of clay, and craft sturdy tools by casting molten metal or by working hot ingots voxel-by-voxel on an anvil. GEOLOGICALLY DIVERSE Every world you create is populated by a great degree of geological diversity. You will encounter: - Dozens of unique land forms - Varying rock strata that are host to specific minerals - Areas rich, poor, or completely devoid of certain minerals - Huge veins of quartz that harbor trace amounts of silver, gold and vugs - cracks in which large crystals can form - Rare, crystallized versions of minerals - Rare but huge domes of salt, which can be used as an effective foodpreservative
