KEINE STRASSE FÜHRT AUFS VIGILJOCH. Die Seilbahn ist der einzige Weg, der Sie von Lana in sieben Minuten auf 1 500 m Meereshöhe bringt: an einen Ort voller Kraft, an dem die Natur noch in Einklang mit sich selbst leben darf. Ein Berghotel auf dem Vigiljoch zu konzipieren, verlangt Behutsamkeit und Respekt. Architekt Matteo Thun löste diese große Aufgabe nach dem klaren Prinzip „eco not ego“ : Das 5 Sterne Hotel in Südtirol sollte zu einem Refugium werden, in dem sich die Natur – und nicht der Mensch als „Erschaffer“ – verwirklicht. Holz und großflächiges Glas sind die Bauelemente dieses ersten Klimahaus-A-Hotels in Italien, in dem das Außen und das Innen gelungen ineinanderfließen. Eine angenehme Symbiose aus modernem Design und Behaglichkeit.

Anekdoten zufolge kam das Vigiljocher Quellwasser
