BLOG — VEGAN NORWAY 23 November 2020. LOCO is a project launching a concept-store that has become every vegan’s dream: an 100% plant based grocery chain in Scandinavia. The first store will be opened in Oslo in 2021, and if all goes according to plan (fingers crossed!) the rest of Scandinavia will follow in the upcoming years. Mon Roca. OUR STORY — VEGAN NORWAY Our Story by Sally Renshaw, founder of Vegan Norway. I began looking all over Oslo for places to eat and shop. I found Røtter on the walk home from work one day and was so happy to see that they sold vegan cheese, nut milk and vegan sausages! WHEN ARE PLANT-BASED MEAT ALTERNATIVES A SMART CHOICE In Norway there are over ten brands that make several plant-based meat alternatives.Among them we find burgers, mince, sausages, nuggets, and veggieballs. This is ideal for anyone that wants to reduce meat consumption or quit animal products.. In this article I’m going to brainstorm some of the pros and cons of plant-based meat options available in our stores and I will OSLO — VEGAN NORWAY Funky Fresh Foods is a 100% vegan restaurant by the side of the Akerselva river on the edge of Grünerløkka. The menu is filled with healthy, organic, and sometimes raw, soups, burgers, salads, and specials. As well as a great list of beers, wines, healthy juices and delicious vegan milkshakes. YOUR FIRST THREE WEEKS AS A VEGAN Experimenting with new vegan food is the most important thing you can do in these first three weeks, try as many new foods as possible, because every time you find a new vegan food that you love, the animal based foods you used to eat get pushed further to the sidelines, and even if you go back to eating meat at the end of your vegan experience BERGEN — VEGAN NORWAY The Bergen branch of the health food store chain, Kinsarvik also stocks a range of vegan products from mock meats to vegan cheeses, as well as sweets and treats from great brands like Pana Chocolate, Funky Fresh Food, Bio-Life, Suma, Seed and Bean amongst many others. OUR STORY — VEGAN NORWAY Our Story by Sally Renshaw, founder of Vegan Norway. I began looking all over Oslo for places to eat and shop. I found Røtter on the walk home from work one day and was so happy to see that they sold vegan cheese, nut milk and vegan sausages! WHY VEGAN? — VEGAN NORWAY Why go vegan? Be kind to the ocean. Factory farms wash animal waste into rivers which carry it to the sea, whilst fishing vessels take more and more fish out of the ocean.The environment of these animals is poisoned, and the animals that survive this are taken from OSLO — VEGAN NORWAY Try a buddha bowl at Nordvegan. Oslo's newest all-vegan cafe, Nordvegan offers a menu of eco-friendly, healthy and tasty food. Expect everything from sandwiches, pies and sushi to salads, lasagne, pastries and even vegan crème brûlée!WHAT’S NEW?
LOCO is a project launching a concept-store that has become every vegan’s dream: an 100% plant based grocery chain in Scandinavia. The first store will be opened in Oslo in 2021, and if all goes according to plan (fingers crossed!) the rest of Scandinavia will follow in theupcoming years.
STAVANGER — VEGAN NORWAY try the vegan special at gådjå. Ethiopian cuisine ranks among our favourites, and Gådjå is definitely among our favourite restaurants. Conveniently located in the centre of Stavanger, Gådjå has a whole vegan section of the menu with 7 main course dishes to choose from.TEST THE APP
