Under the City’s Temporary Outdoor Patio By-law, local eating establishments and banquet halls are able to temporarily expand or establish additional patios, while maintaining physical distancing. This measure, championed by Vaughan City Council, is intended to support the business community during the global COVID-19pandemic.

Building an uncovered deck maximum 18.6 square metres (about 200 square feet), not exceeding 0.6 metres (about 23.6 inches) above grade and not attached to an existing structure.
