External belt drive eliminates motor noise and ensures speed consistency (33/45 RPM). Product Variant. Color White Red Blue Green Black Ultraviolet. OUR PURSUIT OF PERFECTION Our pursuit of perfection. Listening to vinyl is about noticing the details. The same goes for building turntables. Building a great turntable takes time, and much of this time is spent calibrating, measuring, and testing. Quality control is just as much about people as it is about parts. Abby Kaiser, our production manager, explains: INSTALLING YOUR BELT The Orbit's belt is relatively loose. This helps prevent motor vibrations from reaching your stylus and minimizes speed variation (think of the platter as a flywheel). Here are some tips for installing your belt and changing speeds. Belt installation Use your left hand to gently hold the belt in the correct pulley gr FOUR POWERED SPEAKERS YOUR TURNTABLE WILL LOVE Edifier R1280T ($129) As far as entry-level powered speakers go, the Edifier R1280Ts are a great value. The 4" formed paper woofers and 13mm silk dome tweeters provide surprisingly powerful bass and good dynamics . Its class D amp delivers up to 21W RMS of power per channel, which makes it a good fit for small and medium sized rooms. CONNECTING YOUR TURNTABLE An oldie but goodie. First, you connect your Orbit to a stereo receiver (with a dedicated phono input) using the included RCA cables. Next, you connect your stereo receiver to bookshelf or floorstanding passive speakers using speaker wire. The receiver contains both (i) a phono preamp to amplify your turntable’s signal as well as (ii) apower

But the condition of used records can vary greatly, and it’s all too easy to grab a damaged album that delivers lackluster sound. So hereare some things to
