So when writing this I don’t know if I experienced stockholm syndrome with Milwaukee or if I genuinely love Milwaukee, because in many ways it is a sense of home. But within it being a home, it’s a very abusive one. I guess my problem with the discourse of improving Milwaukee is that there BLACK YOUTH NEED SEX EDUCATION The day that T.I stated that he checks his daughter hymen to see if her “virginity” was still in tact; should have been the day where Black youth were taught about sexual education, and not being humiliated for it. Even though the initial buzz of the conversation surrounding the statement and his later discussed apology is over, we still need to evaluate where he and we went wrong. DIGGING FOR COMMUNITY This is where the digging happens. We all have a lot to learn and unlearn. There is so much love and joy covered with our decisions of complacency and willful ignorance.“I SEE YOU”

TO THE PEOPLE THAT THINK THEY KNOW MY CITY. So when writing this I don’t know if I experienced stockholm syndrome with Milwaukee or if I genuinely love Milwaukee, because in many ways it is a sense of home. But within it being a home, it’s a very abusive one. I guess my problem with the discourse of improving Milwaukee is that there BLACK YOUTH NEED SEX EDUCATION The day that T.I stated that he checks his daughter hymen to see if her “virginity” was still in tact; should have been the day where Black youth were taught about sexual education, and not being humiliated for it. Even though the initial buzz of the conversation surrounding the statement and his later discussed apology is over, we still need to evaluate where he and we went wrong. “THEY ASK ME WHAT I DO AND WHO I DO IT FOR.” Yes, there are systems of oppression at work here and the results of those systems are evident. Those systems are in place in other places too. To me, that just means there is work to do here. So they ask me what I do and who I do it for. I do it for the people in my city. The IT, is educate, agitate and help to eradicate systems of oppression.“I SEE YOU”

BLACK YOUTH NEED SEX EDUCATION The day that T.I stated that he checks his daughter hymen to see if her “virginity” was still in tact; should have been the day where Black youth were taught about sexual education, and not being humiliated for it. Even though the initial buzz of the conversation surrounding the statement and his later discussed apology is over, we still need to evaluate where he and we went wrong. DIGGING FOR COMMUNITY This is where the digging happens. We all have a lot to learn and unlearn. There is so much love and joy covered with our decisions of complacency and willful ignorance.MAKING SPACE
Until this conversation, I had never thought of myself in this way before. A spacemaker? What does that even mean? How is that a thing? But a Dope Black Woman, of which everyone needs at least one in their life, was able to explain this to me. TO THE PEOPLE THAT THINK THEY KNOW MY CITY. So when writing this I don’t know if I experienced stockholm syndrome with Milwaukee or if I genuinely love Milwaukee, because in many ways it is a sense of home. But within it being a home, it’s a very abusive one. I guess my problem with the discourse of improving Milwaukee is that there DIGGING FOR COMMUNITY This is where the digging happens.
