Higher wages and first-ever partial waiver of UC campus fees: Student-workers won annual wage increases of 3% and an annual $300 waiver of campus fees. For the typical student-worker, this is equivalent to a 3.6% increase in take-home pay. Expanded family benefits: Total childcare subsidies rose to $1,100 per quarter (or $1,650 per semester).WORKPLACE ISSUE?
The union does this by representing student-workers during the grievance procedure, which can include everything from informal discussions with your department to formal meetings with the university’s Labor Relations department. If you have a concern about your workplace, please fill CHILDCARE REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM Childcare Reimbursement Program. Under our contract, you are eligible to have up to $1,100 per quarter ($1,650 per semester) of your childcare expenses reimbursed by the University if your child is 12 years old or younger and you’re working an appointment of 25% or more as a TA, tutor or reader. This applies to undergrads and gradstudents.
