WHAT WE DO AT TWIG & STICK Twig & Stick Children's Nature Club is based at The Old School Community Garden in Stirling. The garden is the perfect environment to observe the season, growth and explore the flora and fauna of the local area. A magical place for children to play and create beautiful memories that last a lifetime. Children will have access to the wonderful vegetable gardens, butterfly garden and children's nature

play area.

Autumn School Holiday Drop and Go Program in Stirling 9:00am - 1:00pm Short day 9:00am - 3:30pm Long day

​

During the Autumn Holidays we will be creating lots of nature art including journey sticks, wire birds, stick fairies and working on our fairy village, building cubbies, learning about our local wildlife and their habitats and all about the community garden. SO EXCITING!

​

Our Autumn 2019 drop and go holiday program does not require parents attendance, so you can go out for a coffee or lunch, spend time with your younger or older children or go to work. Workshops for educators - Coming in 2019! Would you like to introduce more nature connection in your Early Learning facility or School?

​

Would you like to encourage educators to use more natural resources with confidence and to learn the benefits of nature art & play? We would love to come to your facility and run a practical workshop with your staff to show them how fun, easy and powerful nature resources, art and play can be in educating our children.

​

We will show you the basics of wood whittling, basket weaving, clay creations, water colours and natures colours, natural loose parts play as and show you how easy it is to find many of these resources in your local surrounds. Even in the city!

​

We as educators all know there is a huge movement in Nature Play and the research is out there for us to read and absorb, but putting it into practice can be where we become stuck. Twig & Stick want to help the shift happen and give educators confidence and joy to use these

materials.

Birthday Parties

Birthday Parties will return to The Old School Community Garden in 2019. We are also available to come to your home, park, beach, National Park until that time. During 2019 we have selected dates

Excursions and Incursions Available for OSHC Holiday programs during holidays, Early Childhood and Primary School Children during school term. Incursions are available for community events, libraries, OSHC workshops at your location. We can tailor ti any group size with activities to suit ages

and event theme.

Twig & Stick Children's Nature Club offers a chance for children to be in the moment, to play and form friendships, to take risks and become risk assessors and to learn new skills such a clay work, propagation of plants, wood whittling, garden care and nature protection. We have a strong nature art focus and believe this installs a sense of calm and connection to nature. There is a muddy play zone, sandpit, loose parts play, nature craft and so much more. . . . . .
