We've decided not to offer "frozen" builds anymore, this is so that people get fixes much sooner. Those that are currently using release can modify their apt sources to stable, or continue as they are now, and move when theyfeel ready.

Development is the recommended choice for most people as Stable is very out-of-date at the moment.. But, where's release?! We've decided not to offer "frozen" builds anymore, this is so that people get fixes much sooner. Those that are currently using release can modify their apt sources to stable, or continue as they are now, and move when theyfeel ready.

We're looking to replace the https://tvheadend.org frontend site with a new "sexy" design fit for the modern age.. We've had several people comment that redmine makes the site look a bit tired and some have even thought, at first glance, the project was dead. DOWNLOAD - TVHEADEND Download¶ Packages¶. Clients¶. Tvheadend provides a HTTP streaming mechanism that can be used in conjunction with many different media players. However several clients also include support for the HTSP protocol that Tvheadend uses for both streaming and control, these give a much richer experience.. Great for recording your favorite TV-show (s). Tvheadend includes list of all major DVB-T, DVB-C and DVB-S networks around the globe. Just pick your location from a list. Next, it can scan all services and only map those which can be correctly decoded. Avoids having lots of unusable channels in your Media player. WIKISTART - TVHEADEND Getting Help¶. If you have any problems with running Tvheadend, then feel free to get in contact. There are a variety of ways to do this: IRC is often the best/quickest way to get help (#hts on irc.freenode.net). HTSP - TVHEADEND
HTSP is a TCP based protocol primarily intended for streaming of live TV and related meta data such as channels, group of channels (called tags in HTSP) and electronic program guide (EPG) information. FAQ¶ General¶ How do I interact with Tvheadend?¶ Tvheadend is controlled via a web user interface that runs on an internal HTTP server within Tvheadend. HDHOMERUN - TVHEADEND On the Configurations -> General tab there is an option for "DVB scan files path" and in there type: "/usr/share/dvb" and save. On the computer that is running TVH go to "/usr/share/dvb/atsc" and you will see the same names that you had listed earlier. Open one of those upand check it out.
(VARIOUS) STREAM FILTERS This section applies to the filters for Video , Audio, Teletext, Subtitle , CA and Other. This table defines rules to filter and order the elementary streams (PIDs) like video or audio from the input feed. The execution order of commands is granted. It means that first rule is executed for all available streams then second and so on.⚲

OVERVIEW
Tvheadend is a TV streaming server and recorder for Linux, FreeBSD and Android supporting DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB-C, DVB-T, ATSC, ISDB-T, IPTV, SAT>IP and HDHomeRun as input sources. Tvheadend offers the HTTP (VLC, MPlayer), HTSP (Kodi, Movian) andSAT>IP streaming.
Multiple EPG sources are supported (over-the-air DVB and ATSC including OpenTV DVB extensions, XMLTV, PyXML). The Analog video (V4L) is supported directly up to version 3.4. In recent version, the pipe:// source (in IPTV network) might be used to obtain the MPEG-TS stream generated by ffmpeg/libav from a V4Ldevice.
