OUR STORY - TRIBEWANTED MONESTEVOLE On Vorovoro Island it was foretold that one day 'the world would come' and in 2006 an email connected the small Fijian community with an online 'tribe' of travellers and a new project and adventure began. FIJI - TRIBEWANTED MONESTEVOLE Vorovoro is an island in the province of Macuata in the Vanua Levu Group of northern Fiji, 40 minutes away from the town of Labasa by boat.. Between 2006 and 2011 the island was leased and run by Tribewanted.We built a sustainable tourism village complete with traditional Fijian 'bure' houses, compost loos, gardens and kitchen.

MONESTEVOLE

During your stay, you have the opportunity to glimpse a way of life that’s been unchanged for centuries. We have horses, goats, a sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens, dogs and cats at Monestevole.

CO-OWNERSHIP

Starting from 2019, we are offering a co-ownership opportunity for two 4-bedroom apartments at Monestevole. We are looking for a select group of partners who want to enjoy what we have created in this magical place: organic farming, green architecture, renewable energy and heating, water harvesting, black-gray water filtration system, salt water pool, farm to table food, horses, pigs, chickens CHIESETTA - TRIBEWANTED MONESTEVOLE our minimum stay is always at least 3 nights, at certain times of year it may be longer. a 30% deposit is requested to confirm your booking. balance of payment is due one week prior to arrival.

SIERRA LEONE

After the success of the Fiji project, Filippo joined the tribe and we moved to John Obey beach (pop. 500), in Sierra Leone. With the local community, over the course of the first few years we built eight bungalows, a kitchen, a solar house, bucket showers, compost toilets

and a well.

BALI - TRIBEWANTED MONESTEVOLE In 2015 Ben brought a group of like-minded Tribe Members for a three month co-working experience in Bali, and we ended up staying there for

over a year!

Back in 2015 we helped Nydia, Nelson and the Gonubalabala community create their eco-homestay on their idyllic island in Papua New Guinea, population 20, by raising $10.000 to develop two bungalows, water catchment tanks, compost toilets, bucket showers and a kitchen. We brought a group of 15 first-footers to develop the project together with the local villagers. Filippo founded the Tribewanted Monestevole project in 2012. We opened our doors to the public on 21 March 2013.
