We visited Fukuoka for two reasons: (1) it's an easy gateway to South Korea, the next stop on our 13-month around the world itinerary; (2) the ramen. You might think we'd had our fill of ramen by this point. You would be wrong. After almost a month in Japan, we learned that it's impossible for us to get sick of ramen. Our biggest bucket-list item was to see elephants, and we saw more than we thought possible.ONE WEEK IN KRAKÓW
One week in Kraków. There are a lot of things to see in Krakow. It is the second biggest city in Poland after all. EXPLORING MAINZ, GERMANY AND TAKING A RHINE RIVER CRUISE And here we are at the end. 13 months after we set off from our apartment in Brooklyn, we would complete our trip around (some of) the world journey in Mainz, Germany. It may seem an odd place to end. After all, Mainz isn’t the most popular destination in Germany. But we came up with the idea when we left Cologne in the middle of our trip. Some slow planning had put us on the slow train to 10 DISNEYLAND PARIS ACCESSIBILITY AND WHEELCHAIR TRAVEL Our latest accessible travel guest post has a touch of magic. Being that this was our final stop in Japan, and knowing that we wouldn't FIVE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE THINGS TO DO IN TENERIFE Most importantly the island has very good access for wheelchair users. And one of our favorite things to do while traveling is to try local beer. We had read that the craft beer scene in Wroclaw, Poland is top notch, so we were especially excited to visit the city. We were not disappointed. Polish craft beer is very good and Wroclaw definitely seemed like a hotbed of the scene.
