LIRR SUNRISE TRAIL CALENDARS Long Island Sunrise Trail Chapter Calendars. The History of the LIST Chapter Calendars. Dave Morrision published the first calendar - 1986 - with his own money and told the Chapter that if the project was successful, he would turn it over to the Chapter. Dave had 1,000 calendars printed and LIRR DECAL MODELING INFORMATION 3"M", large red/black numbers, and small black numbers. 1976 LIRR first EMD classes of engines were painted blue and white, with large "M" heralds on their car bodies. 1. HO is Walthers 62-78 black and orange C-420 diesel. There is enough lettering and numbers to do onecomplete diesel.

(Dave Keller data) The last train to carry mail on the Long Island Rail Road was train #37 running from Speonk to Jamaica on June 18, 1965, thus bringing to a close almost 130 years of U.S. Mail service on the LIRR. Dave had 1,000 calendars printed and LIRR MODELING SCENES The model is an exact replica of the LIRR Oyster Bay yard limits which begins as LIRR Mile Marker 33 and ends at the water's edge on the eastern edge of Oyster Bay. It is built to a scale of 1:87, which is HO scale, the most popular model railroading scale. This allowed us to build true to scale track mileage. RAHWAY VALLEY RAILROAD ROSTER No.4 was the first locomotive purchased by the Rahway Valley Railroad, and it is unclear if it was numbered 4 right away, or after the NOFJ was purchased in 1905. In any case, No.4 was purchased from the Delaware Lackawanna and Western Railroad in 1904. No.4 was a member of the Lackawanna's 300 class built in 1870 by the Dickson LocomotiveWorks.

This musical trio was first organized in 1924 under the sponsorship of the LIRR, with Jeff Skinner, Johnny Diehl and Matty Balling. The SIRT RR connected with the Pennsylvania Railroad in Linden, New Jersey, the Lehigh Valley Railroad at Staten Island Junction in Cranford, New Jersey and the Central Railroad of New Jersey at Cranford Junction, also in Cranford. LIRR MOW ROSTER & INFO LIRR "crane" number 197 is more properly called a derrick as the 1956 roster described it because of its short boom style. Cranes differ from derricks (MWW: Wreck Derrick, propelled by locomotive, used for heavy lifting) in several ways. Cranes have long spindly booms for LIRR DECAL MODELING INFORMATION 3"M", large red/black numbers, and small black numbers. 1976 LIRR first EMD classes of engines were painted blue and white, with large "M" heralds on their car bodies. 1. HO is Walthers 62-78 black and orange C-420 diesel. There is enough lettering and numbers to do onecomplete diesel.
LIRR RAILWAY POST OFFICE SERVICE Railway Post Office service was to come to an end on the LIRR a few months later. (Dave Keller data) The last train to carry mail on the Long Island Rail Road was train #37 running from Speonk to Jamaica on June 18, 1965, thus bringing to a close almost 130 years of U.S. Mail service on the LIRR. Bulk mail was carried until 1952, but it did not RAHWAY VALLEY RAILROAD ROSTER No.4 was the first locomotive purchased by the Rahway Valley Railroad, and it is unclear if it was numbered 4 right away, or after the NOFJ was purchased in 1905. In any case, No.4 was purchased from the Delaware Lackawanna and Western Railroad in 1904. No.4 was a member of the Lackawanna's 300 class built in 1870 by the Dickson LocomotiveWorks.

LIRR FA MODEL
When the LIRR started picking up FA’s, they combed the country for all available units. SP&S FA1 units got sidelined by the Burlington Northern, Western Maryland had four FA2’s, and the L&N FA2 units started the show. The last New Haven and NYC units came via the collapsed Penn Central.
