TROPICAL ROOF
G'day Chris, ADP and I had a bit of a laugh about the price for the rear screen being published on here because once they started making them in numbers (after the first few that were all custom which take longer to make and thus are a bit of guess work as to pricing) they realised they needed to put the price up to cover costs, which in my opinion is fair enough. TVAN MODS - TRACKTRAILERFORUMS.COM Ok, so I'm a guy that will accept most challengers where modifications are involved and as a testament to this is the large number of half finished projects and ideas laying about my yard/shed collecting dust due to lack of time and funds to see most finalized to get them to a"test" faze.
NEW SHOWER POD
The new shower pod is is an absolute cracker! Very simple and fast to set up and pack up - even for us vertically challenged folk - heaps of room inside and there's the unexpected plus of quickly just popping the hatch up for a bit of extra shade out the back. FITTING A STONE STOMPER ON TVAN I fitted a Stone Stomper to my T-Van MkIV. Well worth the money in my opinion. The only (slightly) difficult addition to the standard installation was to add two 5mm mild steel bars into the back of the T-Van stone deflector onto which the Stone Guard brackets are bolted. LOOONG TIME SINCE ANYONE HAS POSTED NEW STUFF ON AN EAGLE.. Hi David. My Eagle will be towed with a Ford Ranger so I was keen to set the same wheels with same track on the trailer for obvious reasons. Problem is that this required the purchase of complete new (longer stub) cross suspension arms because of the very neg offset ofRanger wheels.

Belated update - we were there early June (just got back). Here's some feedback I sent to the Newman visitor centre: We've just come from Newman to Broome via Rudall River NP.TROPICAL ROOF
G'day everyone, I've finally had a tropical roof/tent fly made for our Tvan by ADP. I used a similar concept that many wind up campers have for their bed ends and had a custom bag awning made up that is permanently attached to the hatch. TOWING USING A DISCOVERY 4 We tow a Topaz (with our D4) which is much heavier than the TVan and we get between 10.5 and 14.5 l/100k depending upon the conditions. 10.5 to 11.5 cruising on flat roads with no wind and up to 14.5 on hilly roads or head wind. The D4 has stacks of power and is brilliant towing particularly with its Towing Stability Control system. REDARC 150 W SOLAR BLANKET AND BCDC1240 Inside of the icc unit. You have to take out all the screws on the icc panel and gently move the whole lot forward to see them at the back. There was two locations side by side with approx 6 crimp lugs on eachearth bolt.
THE BOYNE VALLEY
The bomber went missing on 26th February 1945 where 8 men lost their lives, 6 Americans & 2 British soldiers. The wreckage wasn’t discovered until 49 years later on the 2nd August 1994 by a park ranger. I have to say it is a really sombre moment as you walk past wreckage, you can’t help but feel such emotion for these youngblokes who lost

It also depends on the type of panel used, but my anecdotal experience is that if a panel does have them, then they age usually installed as bypass diodes andnot blocking.
FAN FORCED VENTILATION IN FRONT BOX Fan Forced Ventilation in Front Box. « on: January 27, 2016, 09:10:25 PM ». A recent trip to the Alice convinced me that the front box of MKIII vans lack sufficient ventilation to run a fridge. Inside the box was hot, not enough air was circulating to take away the heat generated by the fridge. Mid last year, retiring from the BRB, I came DIESEL HEATER FUEL TANK LEVEL. Have been doing it like that till one day we were empty, forgot to top up as it was days in between use. Filled it back up but it conked out all the time while trying to start. so for the last week traveling back home we had to, every other day, resort to urbanization andcamping's.

2) lift the mattress and rear carpet to look for signs of dust / water ingress. 3) check electricals making sure that each light and power outlet is working. 4) check that the electric and manual water pump are functioning. 5) if possible, erect supplied sail / annex checking for wear and tear and completeness of poles, tent pegs and ropes. TVAN DECK SUPPORT
TVan deck support. Hi all. Thought I'd share this little add on to our TVan. Like many I worry about the amount of flex in the centre of the deck. This leg is adjustable from 70 to 170mm and costs around $15 from Bunnings. It required a small modification in the way of cutting the angle bracket off the top (I did mine with a hand saw). GOOD FLEXIBLE SOLAR PANEL SUPPLIERS good flexible solar panel suppliers. I don't use one as the Tvan already has the controller built in & our BT50 is running the redarc 1225v charger on the second battery which also has a solar controllerbuilt in to it.
BATTERY NOT CHARGING VIA ANDERSON PLUG Peter, There is a Maxi fuse in the battery box that will have shorted out and needs to be replaced, I know as it happened to me. Once the two bare wires touch, or touch the ground, it A LOCK DOWN OVERHAUL Bit of an overdue post but looking for something to do during the first lock down, and having just retired, I took the opportunity to do a overhaul/refurbishment of PROBLEMS WITH WATER WORKS. Thanks for the suggestions so far. I opened the hand pump and found that the diaphragm had failed. I replaced it with the spare. This improves the situation to the point that we can now get water out of the tank with either the electric or hand pump, but, both pumps are still sucking some air with the water, so something is still not quiteright.
HOW DO I GO ABOUT FIXING THIS Firstly, you can't use epoxy resin with normal chopped strand mat. I would be fairly certain that the Tvan is built with polyester resin, you could glue a strengthening plywood pad behind, after sanding & roughening it, then fibreglass over it with chopped attend may & polyester resin, then grind out the front face to get rid of the loose glass etc, & then build it up with layers of glass. ELECTRIC WATER PUMP PRESSURE Try the in line filters in the water Lines. They are under the kerbside rear corner (1st) and just above the wheel on the same side (2nd). They screw together and have a TVAN VERSIONS ( FROM OLD SITE) I just lifted this from the old site as it may be useful for people buying different models. ( I deleted some parts not to do with thecontext).

Thanks for the replies. I did try tapping the barrel in with a socket while bashing the s.. out of the door to no avail. Also tried to slip a hacksaw blade under the bottom of the door but that wasn't bendy enough and after an hour or two of bad language didn't work Bruteforce seemed my
TVAN MODS - TRACKTRAILERFORUMS.COM Ok, so I'm a guy that will accept most challengers where modifications are involved and as a testament to this is the large number of half finished projects and ideas laying about my yard/shed collecting dust due to lack of time and funds to see most finalized to get them to a"test" faze.

BUYING SECOND HAND
Hi, I am thinking of buying a second hand Tvan. Most likely a late model MK2. What things / areas of wear and tear do I need to watch for, when looking at a second hand unit.
