WHAT TURTLE SPECIES CAN COEXIST WITH COMMON MUSK TURTLES A map turtle might work, but as mentioned above, musks and muds can be tail biters. If you are keeping two or more musk turtles together or if you decide to add in a map turtle or something similar, I would recommend a very large enclosure. Something like a tuff stuff 110 gallon stock tank, or a rubbermaid 150 gallon. TORTOISE CONSTIPATION/IMPACTION? Mineral oil is good to use on food to help lubricate the 'pipes' inside a tortoise because it is non-absorptive, and it coats everything inside, helping whatever's stuck to slide out. But always use it with food, never by itself. MY TORTOISE IS NOT POOPING My Russian tortoise isn't pooping but he's still eating. He hasn't pooped in over two weeks but he's acting normal. I spray him 5times twice each day and soak him once a week. After careful consideration I have decided to let it go. I found out that it is a Greek tortoise and a local species to Turkey and Greece I guess. I think it is not fair to capture a wild animal. After googling I put him in a box with clean bedding , newspaper etc as I thought he maybe hibernating . 39,093. Location (City and/or State) Chicago, Illinois, USA. The best way is to put whatever it is you are using on a thermostat. That way you are sure it won't get too hot or too cold. A infrared radiant heater is what I plan on using, moons down the road. It doesn't get hot on the outside, so your tort can touch it and not get burned.SULCATA DIET SHEET

Ryan was such a great communicator and answered all my questions about caring for a hatchling. I’m new to the turtle world, thanks to my toddler finding this one in a swimming pool and not willing to let it go. We have had it going a little over a month now. I bought some 9 month MY TORTOISE WON'T EAT, MOVE, OR OPEN HIS EYES? these are of him in his enclosure. it’s glass with a mesh top and a heat lamp that goes out at 8:30 pm every night and comes back on at 7:30 every morning, it’s on a timer. i honestly have no idea HOW to check his temperatures my poor boy. i feel awful because i truly had no idea how much misinformation i was given!!!! i know how irresponsible i look and i truly only did as i was told when IS THIS NORMAL? i have a 60 year old desert tortoise. i was always afraid to oil her shell for feer of suffocation, or something...it looks very dry but have never had problems with her health. is this safe to oil hershell?
