About Andy Hunt. Andy started in the do-it-yourself days of CP/M and the S100 bus, of Heathkits and Radio Electronics. Andy wrote his first real program, a combination text editor and database manager, for an Ohio Scientific Challenger 4P. It was a great era for tinkering. I’ve had a lot of people ask me about the special effects I engineered for Halloween, so I thought I’d describe them here. First, I bought a soundtrack of a live thunderstorm - no scary additional noises, just plain thunder. I played this on my Denon amp with the Definitive Tech speakers placed in the downstairs windows, and my wife reported that it sounded convincingly like thunder up to HOW *NOT* TO EAT AN ELEPHANT The old adage about eating an elephant is wrong.
