ELM CREEK PARK RESERVE Elm Creek Park Reserve. At 4,900 acres, Elm Creek Park Reserve is the largest park in Three Rivers. The park features amenities for almost every outdoor activity, including the Winter Recreation Area, Eastman Nature Center, miles of hiking and biking trails, a swim pond, mountain biking and much more. Elm Creek is also home to a variety of GLEN LAKE GOLF & PRACTICE CENTER Glen Lake Golf and Practice Center is a great spot to practice your swing or just play a casual round of golf. With its sand and grass bunkers, subtle mounding, strategic water hazards, and dramatic elevation changes, this nine-hole, recreational-length course is the perfect spot for golfers of any skill level. MINNESOTA RIVER BLUFFS REGIONAL TRAIL The Minnesota River Bluffs LRT Regional Trail is an aggregate trail that follows an old railroad route from Hopkins to Chanhassen and Chaska. The trail offers views of Shady Oak Lake, Miller Park, Riley Lake Park, and the forested hills around the Minnesota River Valley. DAKOTA RAIL REGIONAL TRAIL Dakota Rail Regional Trail. This paved trail offers a spectacular view of Lake Minnetonka and follows the route of the former Dakota Rail Corridor through St. Bonifacius, Minnetrista, Mound, Spring Park, Minnetonka Beach, Orono and Wayzata. In Carver County an additional 12.5 miles of paved trail extends west of St. Bonifacius to Mayer. DAKOTA RAIL REGIONAL TRAIL RESURFACING The Dakota Rail Regional Trail will be resurfaced this summer, and the work will require closures of portions of the trail on weekdays between late June and early September. The entire trail will be open on weekends throughout the summer. In preparation for the resurfacing, pavement repairs will be made between June 14 and 29. NINE MILE CREEK REGIONAL TRAIL Over 100 miles of the regional trail system are maintained in the winter, generally from mid-November through March. This is achieved through a partnership between Three Rivers and local cities. The Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail is plowed during winter months. See complete winter trail maintenance information listed by city or by trail. HOW TO GO STAND-UP PADDLEBOARDING Summer is here, and there's no better time to learn a new watersport! Stand-up paddleboarding (or SUP for short) is a watersport where you stand on a board and use a paddle to propel yourself. It originated in the Hawaiian Islands. In Hawaiian, stand-up paddleboarding translates to “Ku Hoe He'e Nalu,” which means “to stand, to paddle, to surfa wave.”
