So, even though those people might not come out and say it, they probably think I "always need to be ASPERGER’S / AUTISM AND ‘BLACK-AND-WHITE THINKING’ Recently, the subject of "black-and-white thinking" has come up in the (awesome!!) comments section of a couple of the posts on this blog. Today, I thought it might be useful to expand on this topic a little bit. "Black-and-white thinking" is a frequently-listed trait in many books on Asperger's/autism, and it's also commonly-used term within LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY “INABILITY TO HANDLE CRITICISM Somehow I managed to compress roughly eight hours' worth of work into about an hour and a half, followed by another hour of wrangling with technological glitches, and as a result, my brain is a little clunky. So, now is probably not the time to be making confessions, but THEY THOUGHT I WAS BEING ‘OBSTINATE’…WHEN I WAS JUST # Before we left for the clinic, I asked my partner over breakfast, "how busy is your schedule today?" He said, "I've got several people, although they're scattered." In med school we were coached on how to schedule more efficiently. I wondered out loud if INVISIBLE DIVISION ~ SCHOOL LIFE AS AN ASPIE / AUTISTIC I've fairly frequently touched on various elements of my childhood school experience in other posts, but today, I've been inspired by a couple of kind and genuine friends to write another.
