The trial called ETERNAL will investigate if a next generation drug, tenecteplase, is more effective than the current standard of care at improving patient outcomes up to 24 hours of stroke onset. VIRTUAL FRACTURE CLINIC The Royal Melbourne Hospital Virtual Fracture Clinic (VFC) was established in March 2017 after a funding grant from Better Care Victoria. The virtual model of fracture care was developed by the NHS trusts in Glasgow. The Royal Melbourne Hospital was first to trial and adopt this model of care in Australia. STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES These Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are intended to provide the necessary tools to ensure that all research at Melbourne Health is conducted in accordance with MH requirements, ICH/GCP guidelines and applicable legislation and regulations. BREAST SERVICE
Assessment of breast symptoms, diagnosis and management of breast cancer and pre-cancerous diseases is the main focus of our work. We are closely affiliated with the Familial Cancer Centre and the Breast/Ovarian Cancer risk management clinic at The Royal MelbourneHospital.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY Occupational Therapists at The Royal Melbourne Hospital work across the continuum of care from acute and subacute inpatients, to centre and home based services. The Occupational Therapy service also manages the two Patient Appliance Centres, one on each campus, for short termloan or
