HOW WE ORGANIZE OUR POP UP CAMPER I’ve got two large drawers in this cabinet, too. The first one holds our pots, pans, collapsible bowls and strainers (I like the Squish brand), and other small cooking items. These collapsible bowls are great. They fold flat and give you so much room, but they are alsopretty sturdy.

PAINTING CAMPER CABINETS: ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED Remember that the cabinets are MDF, so you’ll have to make sure you sand lightly and remove any residue or remaining adhesive. Use a good primer (we like Zinsser) and sand lightly between coats. You’ll probably need more than one coat of primer on the raw MDF. Then you can paint your cabinets with a good quality paint. Fixing them has been on our “to-do list” since we bought the camper. This year we decided to get serious about cleaning up theoutside of the PUP,

The idea was good, no seams for water to leak in, etc., but in reality, the ABS roof didn’t hold up on most trailers. HOW WE LEVEL OUR POP UP CAMPER There are several reasons you want your pop up camper to be as level as possible. The first, and most obvious one, is comfort. CAMPING IN BEAR COUNTRY Camping in bear country can be a little intimidating, especially for newbie campers. We put off taking our kids to Yosemite for years because we just weren’t sure how safe we’d be roughing it alongside these furry neighbors. POP UP CAMPER BATTERY MAINTENANCE A typical group 24 deep cycle battery has a rating of 70-85 amp hours, whereas a typical group 27 deep cycle battery has a rating of between 85-105 amp hours. If you do a lot of dry camping or you have a number of things running off your battery when you camp (A/C unit, heaters, lights, phone chargers, etc.), it makes sense to buy the biggest HOW TO USE & MAINTAIN YOUR POP UP CAMPER TOILET To use the pop up camper toilet, turn the flush knob several times to fill the bowl with water or open the valve blade, which ever you prefer. At this point, your toilet is ready for use. As a side note, we use a toilet paper designed for RV use, like this one from Scott. It’s available on Amazon and at Walmart. EASY WAYS TO PAINT YOUR POP UP CAMPER COUNTERTOPS I featured Hollie’s Pop Up Camper Makeover back in 2016, and it was the first time I’d ever seen someone use decorative garage floor flakes to imitate the look of the kit we used. It was really kind of genius and much cheaper than the countertop kit. It’s also pretty easy to achieve the look, and it only requires a couple coats of paint, some garage floor flecks, and a good topcoat. ANNE'S POP UP CAMPER MAKEOVER Anne’s pop up camper makeover was doubly awesome, because not only did she give her camper a pretty new look, she also did an amazing job organizing it to fit her needs. I shared how we organize our camper last week, so it was fun to see how another camper organizes hers. Here’s what Anne told me about her PUP. OUR GRAY WATER SYSTEM Our Gray Water System. June 30, 2015. When I first got our little pop up camper, I didn’t know the first thing about fresh water, gray water, or black water systems. I mean, I knew black water was the stinky stuff, but not much more than that. We have a sink in the PUP, but technically I had no idea where the water came from or where itwent
