The problem with this thinking is it is arbitrary and impossible for other people to know. Other responses were they get annoyed if someone does it while they are standing right there. But there are times when this is acceptable. This is about authority, not feelings. There are clear times when someone else has authority to correct your child. 20 WAYS TO “RESET” WHEN THE KIDS ARE HAVING A HARD DAY 10. Drink something green . PERSONALIZE YOUR WEDDING For both of our daughters’ weddings we had small budgets and big ideas. To make their wedding special and not feel like we were missing details, we had to make a lot of things ourselves. That was fine with us; we enjoy doing projects together! And these were definitely a whole family project! After telling you about how special my daughter’s wedding dress was, I want to keep the special moments going by sharing all of the ways we personalized that wedding. I am a big fan of sentimental … Filed Under: At The Point, DIY

DID I TELL YOU THAT I MADE THE TOP OF MY DAUGHTER’S WEDDING DRESS? Oh my goodness, I was looking through the blog recently and hadn’t realized that I never shared about my two daughter’s weddings. How could I forget that? Seriously, post-wedding stupor is real and I think I was just barely hanging on for months after each one. But I am back to normal-ish now and I want to share the wedding bliss. I’m going to start with the most recent since it’s more fresh in my mind. I did a lot of personalized work on each of their weddings, trying to make it the … Filed Under: At The Point, Modesty

READY FOR A CUTE DIFFUSER?! When I first started using essential oils (in the dark ages) I had a couple of diffusers, but I would put them away when I wasn't using them. Why? Because I love making my house pretty and those diffusers were anything but pretty! Oh sure they made the house smell amazing and helped us when we needed a mood lifter or to relax, but I didn't like the ugly. I wish I had a photo of my first diffuser. It looked like a crazy appliance from the 60s that was trying to be cool butreally was …

EASY TO MAKE DISNEY PUMPKINS This post contains affiliate links. I decided my fall décor needed a little magic. Mickey and Minnie always cheer me up and remind me of our Disney trips and the fun we have there. I was already going to Target for a few things, so I grabbed some pumpkins at the dollar spot and they even had craft paint and some sponge brushes. I had a few things at home already...the foam sheets and some ribbon were in my stash. The tools I used were scissors, a small paint brush or foambrush and …

THE SMELLS OF DISNEY One thing I love about Disney is how they pay attention to every detail of your experience from the music in each themed area to the food to the smells. It's so immersive that you feel like you're transported from the struggles of your life into a relaxing day of celebration. Someone asked me last weekend if Disney was really much different than Six Flags. I almost spit out my drink. I started to list all the ways Disney is better until she finally waved her hand and said "OK! I get it." I could … Filed Under: Essential OilsTagged With:

I have to admit that while I am definitely a cold weather loving gal, I will miss this summer.
