ABOUT US – THE LOGS AT CANYON CREEK The Logs Resort was established in the mid-1950s by Rod and Hazel Ohlsen, at the lower end of Canyon Creek near the confluence with the North Fork of the Nooksack River. "The Logs at Canyon Creek" offers cozy log cabin rentals, just 45 minutes east of Bellingham, WA in the foothills of Mount Baker. Situated near Canyon Creek and The North Fork of the Nooksack River and surrounded by pristine forests, the cabins offer comfortable living in a slower paced environment. No television, telephone, or internet between you and nature. Click the Photo Gallery to see the cabins and many of the scenes the Mt Baker area has to offer. Downhill skiing and snowboarding are available at the Mount Baker Ski Area which operates, snow permitting, November through April. Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing are also popular activities in the winter. In the Summer, many spectacular hiking trails are nearby in the Mount Baker National Forest, or walk for hours along Canyon Creek and the Nooksack River. The creek bar is a great place for finding fossils and rocks. Be sure to take the trail up the creek, into the pristine canyon which gives the creek it's name. Mountain biking and white-water rafting are also popular summer activities. We are located approx 2 1/2 hours NE of Seattle, WA and 1 1/2 hours SE of Vancouver, BC. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Heather Meadows, Artist Point, and the Mt Baker Ski Area, from the cabins. From I-5 to Bellingham, take the Mount Baker Hwy exit and go east. Watch for the Glacier Springs sign in between the 30 and 31 mile-markers (40-45 minutes from Bellingham). Turn left into Glacier Springs and follow Glacier Springs Drive to Canyon View Drive. Turn right on Canyon View Dr and follow one and a half blocks to our log home on the right, at 7577 Canyon View Drive. We will direct you to your cabin from there.* Home
