FAITH OVER FEAR

Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” When sadness and depression settles into one’s mind, heart, and soul, it is not easy to shuck the feelings off, break out of the rut, and move on as some may suggest or think. At times, inner despair remains, re PRACTICING PATIENCE WHEN GOD HAS YOU WAITING Sometimes, it is a very difficult to be patient. When we’re bringing our concerns to the Lord again and again, we can grow tired of waiting. We can begin to feel like our prayers are falling on deaf ears. Often our desire is to take control and just “do the best we can” even though we know Galatians 5 lists patience as a fruit ofthe Holy

In my case it was months after my son, Noah’s, death that I began to feel angry. I had to return to work and the crushing unfairness of it all began to sink in. I used to think that people of true faith accepted everything quietly WOULD HAVING PHONE SEX WITH MY BOYFRIEND BE A SIN? Jesus said that if a man lusts after a woman, he commits adultery in his heart with her. Sex by phone fits that description — and it will be true of you too. God’s Word tells his people, “Keep yourself pure” (1 Timothy 5:22). If you engage in this kind of behavior, there’s no way you can keep your mind pure.FAITH OVER FEAR

If you read this whole chapter in Isaiah, it pictures an awesome God. A God who sits on a throne, yet he has humanity on his mind. He has a plan. He has tasks for us to accomplish. However, God has given all of us a will — to choose to work with him or WHEN YOU CAN’T FIX IT I am, by nature, a fixer, a problem-solver. I don’t like to feel out of control. So, needless to say, this past year of living through a worldwide pandemic, then having my mother suffer a life-altering stroke, has challenged me in more ways than I could have possibly imagined. I have felt THE LIFE: RELIABILITY (Part 1) How I Discovered the Answer. Here’s my story of how I discovered that Christianity’s holy book is not what I once so strongly believed about it. SPIRITUAL THRESHOLDS As your relationship deepens, your friends may become curious about Jesus and interested — at least on an intellectual level — in your faith. 3. Opens up to change. Being a servant in our world means being suppressed, even trod-upon. But in the Biblical context, it takes on a totally different meaning: one of freedom and devotion. 10 WAYS TO PRAY SCRIPTURE Show them the wonder of Your great love, O Lord ( Psalm 17:7 ). When praying for people who seem directionless in their work. Establish the work of their hands, O Lord ( Psalm 90:17 ). When praying for someone who sincerely desires to walk in God’s ways. I found a picture on my phone recently. My niece and nephew jumped over sprinklers and sprayed each other with water guns in my parents’ backyard.CRUSHED IN SPIRIT
Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” When sadness and depression settles into one’s mind, heart, and soul, it is not easy to shuck the feelings off, break out of the rut, and move on as some may suggest or think. At times, inner despair remains, re HOW CAN I HAVE FAITH AFTER LOSING MY SON? I have never been a big fan of the “paste a smile on and pretend it’s okay” club. In my case it was months after my son, Noah’s, death that I began to feel angry. I had to return to work and the crushing unfairness of it all began to sink in.
