Welcome to our 2021 schedule of courses, tutored retreats and untutored retreats at The Garsdale Retreat! At the time of writing, in October, 2020, we are very much hoping that some degree of normality will have returned and we will be able to welcome writers back toGarsdale.

UNTUTORED SEPTEMBER RETREAT All food is catered and there are no domestic duties to stand in the way of creative work. At the Garsdale Retreat, writers can devote themselves totally to writing. PRICES. Untutored Retreat fee includes accommodation and full board (not including alcohol). Single UNTUTORED JUNE RETREAT Please arrive between 3:00pm and 5:00pm on Monday 31st May 2021. THE GARSDALE RETREAT IS A CREATIVE WRITING CENTRE IN THE REMOTE AND BEAUTIFUL SETTING OF THE YORKSHIRE DALES. It provides inspirational courses tutored by professional writers, enabling participants to develop their individual creativity in a place of peace and tranquillity, away from the distractions and stresses of everyday life. We welcome all levels of ability, offering a high level of individual tuition in small classes (average size: eight). All meals are provided, enabling course participants to focus entirely on their writing, whilst enjoying excellent locally sourced food in simple and comfortable surroundings. Both residential and non-residential placesavailable.
Accommodated in an attractive Edwardian house, with workshops held in its converted coach-house, students can enjoy the stunning landscape of The Yorkshire Dales and take walks directly from the house into theNational Park.
