It is a point in World War 2 that is often overshadowed by the heroic return of hundreds of thousands of soldiers from Dunkirk. The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland is currently deployed in Cyprus on Operation TOSCA 22; the second largest deployment of British Army personnel overseas. It is a peacekeeping mission with the United Nations Force in Cyprus and represents 90 percent of the UK’s contribution to UNoperations.

The Memorial Service was led by Rev Alex Forsyth, and attended by families of the fallen, veterans and members of the public. 154 crosses were laid up at our Memorial Wall.
