Teratology Society Mission. The Teratology Society was founded by Drs. F. Clarke Fraser, Josef Warkany and James G. Wilson in 1960 with the first annual meeting in 1961. In the presence of confirmed PAE, individuals with those defects will be given a diagnosis of alcohol-related birth defects (ARBD). The larger group of individuals with FASD, however, have cognitive and behavioral differences without recognizable features of FAS.
