NVIDIA LAUNCHES NEW WORKSTATION, MOBILE & ENTERPRISE GPUS NVIDIA Launches New Workstation, Mobile & Enterprise GPUs At GTC 2021. NVIDIA’s latest GPU Technology Conference begins today, and to say the company has a lot to talk about is a true understatement. This may be the newsiest GTC that NVIDIA has ever had, making it difficult to figure out where to even begin. Well, given our love for the BEST CPU FOR RENDERING & VIDEO ENCODING: SPRING 2021 by Rob Williams on March 10, 2021 in Processors. We’re taking a fresh look at workstation performance revolving (almost) entirely around the CPU. With many encoding and rendering tests in-hand, we’re exploring different performance angles with the help of our CPU collection which includes models ranging from six- to 64-cores. INTEL WANTS YOU TO ‘GET REAL’ AND ‘GO PC’ WHILE THROWING In this new ad campaign, Intel wants you to “Get Real” and “Go PC”. Some Mac users might take offense to the “get real” part of this jab, but would these campaigns truly be effective without such directness or snark? Naturally, to promote the PC, Intel must downplay Apple’s new M1, which has generally been well-received for its FROM ROME TO MILAN: AMD’S ZEN 3 EPYC 7003 CPUS PERFORMANCE From Rome To Milan: AMD’s Zen 3 EPYC 7003 CPUs Performance Tested. BEST CPU FOR RENDERING & VIDEO ENCODING: SPRING 2021 Adding a GPU to the encoding gives us some really interesting results. Somehow, the six-core Ryzen 5 5600X took the top spot of the 1080p project encode, but with this type of workload, we could see slight differences on another day (encoding is a lot more sporadic than rendering).. Ultimately, what is proven here is that a GPU is really important to video encoding, and if for some reason you BEST GPUS FOR WORKSTATIONS: VIEWPORT PERFORMANCE OF CATIA In recent months, we’ve published a fair bit of content revolving around rendering performance of AMD’s and NVIDIA’s latest GPUs, but have only delved as far as Blender for viewport performance. AMD’S RYZEN THREADRIPPER PRO PROCESSORS BEGIN TO LAND IN We learned in January that AMD was planning to make its Ryzen Threadripper PRO processors available directly to consumers in March, but we weren’t quite expecting the company to waste basically no time at all into the month before pulling the trigger. Starting today, Threadripper PRO processors and supporting sWRX8 motherboards will begin landing at retail, including Newegg, which ENTHUSIAST LOOK: WINDOWS XP 32-BIT VERSUS 64-BIT Enthusiast Look: Windows XP 32-Bit versus 64-Bit. CORSAIR K57 RGB WIRELESS REVIEW – A NON-MECHANICAL KEYBOARD TOCONSIDER
Keyboard snobs didn’t become snobs for no good reason. There are a lot of crappy keyboards out there.
