Tweet; Share; Pin; Nova Scotia is home to a signature wine that’s unlike any other: Tidal Bay. It pairs perfectly with our famous local seafood and is a distinct representation of our province’s terroir, coastal breezes and coolerclimate.
NOVA SCOTIA BLUEBERRY GRUNT Directions. Preparation time: 40 minutes. Preheat oven to 375ºF. Make the dumplings; it’s best if they are made first so the flour can absorb moisture. In a large bowl whisk flour, spelt flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut the butter into flour mixture with a fork until butter and flour are combined in small crumbly pieces. NOVA SCOTIA SEAFOOD CHOWDER Deglaze the pan with white wine until liquid is reduced by half. Add the cream and milk; simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Add the diced potatoes and cook until almost fork tender. Melt 2 tbsp butter in another pan, over medium heat and add all seafood. Once the clams and mussels have opened, transfer seafood into the chowder base.LOBSTER DIP
Directions. Serves: 4-6 people. Whisk together softened cream cheese and sour cream together in a large bowl until smooth. Fold in remaining ingredients and season to taste with salt. Chill for 2 hours before serving with chips, crostini, or raw local vegetables. NOVA SCOTIA BLUEBERRY GRUNT Directions. Preheat oven to 425F. Pour blueberries into oven-safe deep-dish pie plate and add sugar and lemon or lime juice.
