WELCOME TO TAPEHEADS! We are THE premier site to talk and learn about all things tape, audio and music. At Tapeheads, you'll find topics pertaining to both analog and digital audio, including general use, tips and techniques, equipment and music reviews, how and where to purchase, market pricing and more. Need service for your gear? Whether you want to do it yourself or find an expert who will do it for you, we can help. Want help with best recording practices? Sure, you'll find that here, too. Our mission encompasses not only the preservation of the vanishing art of analog music recording and playback, it also includes all formats, in both analog and digital. And you'll find discussions about tape itself, vintage and modern cassettes, reel to reel decks, 8-track players and recorders, DAT, Compact Disc players, turntables and vinyl, the music systems required to make the magic "reel," and much, much more. You'll also find engaging experts in every field who participate and are glad to help. And we talk about music and artists, too! Although tape and taping does represent a primary focus, a tape deck by itself can't do very much. So we cover all aspects of audio, including vinyl and turntables, speakers, amplifiers and receivers along with everything else that helps to make for a complete sound system. And if you are dissatisfied with the weak sound of modern minimalist digital sound systems, are looking for that elusive magic or just want to get back in touch with "how it used to be," make Tapeheads your home! Cassette and reel to reel tape as a collector's hobby has also gained in popularity in recent years, and we love that here at Tapeheads! Once you become an established member, you can buy, sell, and trade items of all kinds related to tape, music and gear, WITHOUT FEES! We hope you find Tapeheads to be informative, fun, and to be a great resource. And nowhere else will you find a friendlier group of people when it comes to members and staff. Our people make the difference. Try us and you'll see. Thank you for coming. Enjoy your stay!RECENT DISCUSSIONS
