The Tampa Yacht & Country Club was founded in 1904 by the leading business and professional men of the city of Tampa. Three clubhouses have occupied this property on Ballast Point. The first building was constructed in 1905 at a cost of $7,000 and it was destroyed by fire on December 14, 1929. FISHING TOURNAMENTS

The "Off the Wall" Fishing Tournament is geared towards the young angler and is held in May within the Marina basin. The Spring Boondoggle and Mid-Summer Tarpon Tournament are geared towards the serious angler. The Wounded Warrior Fishing Excursion, held each year at TYCC, is part of a weekend of activities for our Wounded Warriors.

ABOUT THE CLUB

The Tampa Yacht & Country Club was founded in 1904 by the leading business and professional men of the city of Tampa. Three clubhouses have occupied this property on Ballast Point. The first building was constructed in 1905 at a cost of $7,000 and it was destroyed by fire on December 14, 1929. The second building was built in 1930 and burned SAILING - TAMPA YACHT AND COUNTRY CLUB Sailing at Tampa Yacht and Country Club. The sailing program is ready to support our members whether you want to learn the ropes, cruise the bay or compete in races. We have access to fleets of Flying Scots, Sunfish, RS Zests, c420s and Optimists. We host regattas, try MEMBERSHIP - TAMPA YACHT AND COUNTRY CLUB Admission to Tampa Yacht & Country Club is member sponsored. The proposing member should request a membership packet from the Club office. In addition to the Application for Membership, this packet contains information on the process and the proposer’s responsibilities, the steps in the process, and a current schedule of

membership fees.

EQUESTRIAN - TAMPA YACHT AND COUNTRY CLUB Perennial Farm, located at the Tampa Yacht & Country Club and open to the public, is one of Tampa's finest hunter/jumper facilities. With our professional instructors and barn staff, we are able to provide excellent care and training for horses and riders in a convenient, tree-shaded in-town setting. Located in South Tampa, on the shores of Hillsborough Bay, Tampa Yacht & Country Club offers an ideal destination for any event. We encompass old Florida charm, with an evolving modern flare that leaves an everlasting impression on your guests. Our Club can accommodate small functions with an intimate gathering by the fireplace in the Formal SWIMMING - TAMPA YACHT AND COUNTRY CLUB The Tampa Yacht & Country Club Swimming Team was originally established in 1962. The program was inactive from 1967 to 1974, when it was re-established with some 30 swimmers. Today's team boasts more than 160 members ages 6 to 18 years old. The club is a charter member of the U.S. Private Club League and is the reigning League Champion.

FISHING TOURNAMENTS

The "Off the Wall" Fishing Tournament is geared towards the young angler and is held in May within the Marina basin. The Spring Boondoggle and Mid-Summer Tarpon Tournament are geared towards the serious angler.
