The ending was also agreed to be terrible and wasn't the original ending. I believe that there was a communication problem and the original ending's video was either lost or ignored for some reason, and they ended up with the ending we got. The ending's not utterly terrible but it definitely feels a FAN MISSION PATCHES..... the former - the patches are meant to be extracted to wherever the FM in question resides, overwriting the old files. you basically patch up with the tool, extract to FM into its own folder in the FMs folder, use the patches (and load mods if that's required), and you should be good to go. always use FMsel to load FMs. GOG SS2 INSTALL AND SS2 TOOLS ISSUE first, you need to check what version of the engine you are running, see release_notes.txt, if the first line reads "System Shock 2 v2.44 update", then you are pretty much good to go, and all you'll really need is the mod manager, which you will have to extract to your SS2 folder, and then run it to load mods (see the pictures, but make sure to set the priorities as displayed in the mod guide SSR SYSTEM SHOCK REMAKE FEEDBACK REQUEST Re: System Shock Remake Feedback Request - Night Dive Studios. « 16.
