The National Weather Service expects the possibility of heavy rainfall with some areas receiving up to 6 inches or more. Flooded streets, damaging winds and power outagesare possible.

HOLIDAYS AND THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC As we approach the holiday season, please remember that COVID remains a threat to our community. We are seeing cases begin to increase again, something we expected to see during the winter flu season. Staying home and avoiding gatherings is the best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19. If you must travel or planning to have a celebration, be informed of the risks involved. Read Dr. Joe Anzaldua's suggestions and insight as you make preparations. * Planning for Holiday Celebrations * Travel Questions and Answers CITY OFFICES CLOSED THURSDAY AND FRIDAY City offices will be closed for regular business on Thursday and Friday (Nov. 26 and 27) in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING Residents that utilize Republic Services will have Thursday’s (Nov. 26) collection occur on Friday (Nov. 27), and Friday’s (Nov. 27) collection occur on Saturday (Nov. 28). Residents will also receive an additional bulky waste collection following the holiday. Please reference the online holiday service schedule for more information. (Link to holiday schedule) Greatwood residents will not receive collection services on Thursday (Nov. 26). If your collection falls on the holiday, you will receive service on your next scheduled service day.*
